Sechs Monate, die sich wie ein ganzes Leben angef\u00fchlt haben. Sechs Monate mit vielen H\u00f6hen und Tiefen. Freudentr\u00e4nen und frustrierten. Es gab Momente, in denen ich das Gef\u00fchl hatte, mich selbst verloren zu haben, mein ganzes Leben drehte sich nur um eines: Warten, dass es weitergeht, ans finale Ziel, nach S\u00fcdafrika. Ich habe versucht, meine Zeit in Sarajevo so gut es ging zu genie\u00dfen, aber ich w\u00fcrde l\u00fcgen, wenn ich sagen w\u00fcrde, es war einfach. Manchmal war es verdammt schwer – wie es dieses Jahr f\u00fcr uns alle ist.<\/p>

Ich verlasse Sarajevo mit einem Gef\u00fchl, dass schwer zu beschreiben ist. Ich hatte niemals das Gef\u00fchl, wirklich hierher zu geh\u00f6ren \u2013 und dennoch bleibt jetzt ein Teil von mir in dieser Stadt zur\u00fcck. Sie geh\u00f6rt zu mir, zu meinem Leben \u2013 und wann immer ich in der N\u00e4he bin, werde ich mich Sarajevos Anziehungskraft nicht entziehen k\u00f6nnen. Die Stadt wird f\u00fcr immer hier sein, mit mir, unter meiner Haut. Und ich werde immer wieder zur\u00fcck kehren, um durch die Mahalas zu laufen, Kaffee in der\u00a0Ba\u0161\u010dar\u0161ija zu trinken und um die Menschen zu treffen, die ich lieb gewonnen habe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Ich kenne Sarajevo nun zu gut, als dass es nur eine Stadt sein k\u00f6nnte, die ich eben einmal besucht habe. Und ich kenne Sarajevo nicht gut genug, um es Zuhause nennen zu k\u00f6nnen. Eine \u00dcbergangsstadt f\u00fcr ein \u00dcbergangsjahr \u2013 mein Wartesaal, der Ort an dem die Unsicherheit, die Angst, der Frust sich aufgestaut und entladen haben. Und schon allein deshalb, weil diese Stadt so voll ist mit Emotionen, werde ich immer wieder zur\u00fcck kommen.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Ich liebe es, dass Kaffee das R\u00fcckgrat dieser Gesellschaft ist \u2013 ich kann nur immer wieder sagen, wie besonders dass Sarajevo f\u00fcr mich macht. Kaffee wird hier zu jeder Tageszeit getrunken \u2013 und das stundenlang.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Obwohl Sarajevo umgeben ist von Bergen, scheint jeder eins zu haben: Das Wochenendhaus, die Vikendica. Sobald es Freitag wird, brechen die Familien auf, um ein Wochenende in der Natur zu Wandern und zu Grillen \u2013 10 Minuten von der Stadt entfernt.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bosnier sind laut, Deutsche erheben ihre Stimme in der \u00d6ffentlichkeit nicht.
Bosnier kommen nur unangemeldet vorbei, um ihre Familie zu besuchen, Deutsche planen im Voraus.
Wenn Deutsche nichts essen und trinken wollen, sollte man sie nicht dr\u00e4ngen, in Bosnien ist es unh\u00f6flich, Essen und Trinken bei jemandem zu Hause nicht zu akzeptieren.
Ja, es ist manchmal schwierig und kulturelle Unterschiede existieren definitiv. Aber es ist sch\u00f6n, diese Unterschiede zu sehen, zu akzeptieren, vielleicht sogar f\u00fcr sich selbst anzunehmen \u2013 solange die Menschen Geduld miteinander haben.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ich will hier nicht in Detail gehen, manchmal verstehe ich Bosnien ja selbst nicht. Drei Religionen, drei Ethnien und ein Land \u2013 eng miteinander verflochten. Serbisch zu sein, hei\u00dft orthodox zu sein. Bosniakisch zu sein, hei\u00dft muslimisch zu sein und Kroatisch zu sein hei\u00dft katholisch zu sein. Und dazwischen 100 Ausnahmen und Mischungen. <\/span><\/p>

Was ich jedoch mit Sicherheit sagen kann: Nicht jeder Mensch mit einem bosnischen Pass w\u00fcrde sich selbst als Bosnier bezeichnen.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Wusstet ihr, dass Bosnien-Herzegowina drei Pr\u00e4sidenten hat? Die mehrmals im Jahr rotieren? Nein? Gut, dann d\u00fcrftet ihr sp\u00e4testens jetzt verstehen, warum in diesem Land politische \u00c4nderungen nur langsam oder gar nicht passieren.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Denn sie enth\u00e4lt vermutlich selbstgebrauten Rakija. Und niemand will nach dem Sport nach Hause kommen, eine eiskalte Flasche Wasser im K\u00fchlschrank entdecken und einen tiefen Schluck nehmen, nur um festzustellen… dass es kein Wasser ist. #thankmelater<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Noch nie in meinem Leben habe ich so eine Diversit\u00e4t auf so kleinem Raum gesehen: In vier Stunden f\u00e4hrt man<\/span> vom Meer in die Olympischen Berge. Wilde Fl\u00fcsse, unber\u00fchrte W\u00e4lder und Weinberge \u2013 Bosnien-Herzegowina hat alles zu bieten, was man sich nur vorstellen kann!<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ich wurde oft gefragt: Kathi, sag mal, wie ist es in einem muslimischen Land zu leben? Und Bosnien ist daf\u00fcr vermutlich kein Paradebeispiel denn: Man bemerkt nichts davon. Und das, was man bemerkt, ist ein wundersch\u00f6nes Beispiel von Toleranz. Wenn verschleierte M\u00e4dchen mit ihren Freundinnen rausgehen, die Minirock tragen. Oder wenn man sich nach dem Freitagsgebet auf ein Bier trifft. Oder jemand nicht daf\u00fcr verurteilt wird, dass er eben nicht trinkt. Alles ist m\u00f6glich hier in Bosnien \u2013 und die Religion ist nat\u00fcrlich Teil des Lebens, aber sie bestimmt es nicht.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Englisch wird in Bosnien-Herzegowina nicht \u00fcberall gesprochen, viele Menschen sprechen ein wenig Deutsch. Touristen werden generell ja so herzlich aufgenommen, aber wenn man an einem Ort lebt, dessen Sprache man nicht spricht \u2013 frustriert das. Apotheker die sich umdrehen, Frauen im Kiosk, die „No“ sagen, und mich anschlie\u00dfend ignorieren. All das habe ich erlebt, all das hat mich den Tr\u00e4nen nah gebracht und all das ist Teil des Auswandererlebens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
