My first visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina was in 2017 – since then, the story has unfolded quite unexpectedly.
After travelling Bosnia and the Balkan region for a couple of years, my Bosnian partner and I settled in Sarajevo in 2020. One could say I really fell head over heels for the region 😃
But when we started travelling to Bosnia, we found it difficult to research the best places to visit! Did you know that 70% of all small businesses here can't be found online at all – so this makes research difficult and often futile.
But there's the silver lining: Over the past three years, I have explored the country from east to west, found the most beautiful spots, asked locals about their favourite places and tested all kinds of different restaurants.
